a complaint
I have a problem with a recent phenomenon - Nick-names for “flawed” parts of women’s bodies. Mostly because they apply to body parts I didn’t even realize existed/could be defective. (FUPA, KANKLES, etc) So…after the creation and labeling, these new body parts are being examined and objectified…As if the usual insecurities weren’t enough (boobs, thighs, waist, what...
hole in the bread...egg in the middle...nest in...
i made breakfast this morning! part of the healthy day. i made a piece of bread w egg in the middle today. it goes by many names; mine had a lot of oil. because i used too much. but it was good and i like making something in the morning, because then it feels like i’ve had a morning. take the world by the horns! sieze the day! make an egg! there is a theme here of saying expressions...
knorr
the best pre-made sauce spice pack ever is made by knorr. Its called “parma rosa” and it is something i feel very strongly about. you should try using it, all you need to do is add butter, milk and your own seasoning. I add red pepper, garlic salt, a little parm and ideally a little fresh baze. (baze = basil…duh) i made it the other night with wheat pasta so i felt healthy, and...
today i went to lunch with mel? thank heavens, it had been too long. we ate pizza and enjoyed some white wine (at lunch, hells to the yea - cuz we’re fabulous) good friends, good conversation (again i know, but i just can’t get enough)
theres a game show in my belly
was on set for our show “game show in my head” for about a hundred and eighty hours this weekend. so what did i eat? ill tell you. friday - bagel! salad and mushy fruit, quaker oat bars, and later that night pho! saturday - bagel! weird fish for lunch, and italian food during production meeting for dinner. more importantly the stick bread they gave us was crusty on the outside and hot...

snacks
last night after a party i ate some kalamata bread (demi-baguette) with sund dried tomato hummus. was good. funny addition - joanna was like, we have to TRY and eat this loaf of bread before it goes stale. um. check. s’gone.
So the “dressing” - Since I usually make it in the oven, I make the...
– autumn wilner-heard’s rexipe for brussel sprouts. she made these at her hannukah party back in december. (duh) this is one of two things that i have tried to recreate of hers from that night. the other was a bad ass brisket. two menu items good enough to re-make in one night. so amazing. i am...
office diet
my office-mate (and fellow lover of “tunes” - kill me) and i started a diet. so, this blog is going to get less salacious. all you will be reading about is celery and mustard from now on! ha. yeaaa right.
something sad but true.
i didnt post yesterday because the amount of things, the variety and the sheer volume of consumption was overwhelming. i could blame myself alone but i dare say it was a set of lucky (or unlucky, depending on whose side you are on - my taste buds or my waste size) day. NOT only were we shooting at the actual office so there was craft services in the kitchen, which is directly across from my...

ho...pho sho
went to pho with my woman last night. whoa-man! woman! i got “the usual”. which is veggie pho and a side of garlic sauce. never disappoints me people. another more legit pho place i recently was introduced to is called pho 2000 in koreatown. and also from the future (in the year 2000!) Their chicken pho is better than silverlake’s pho - but they don’t have the veggie pho...
cake or death!??????
baby come any day now
food baby! i have one.
tuna. why?
woof woof. i made the mistake of ordering a tuna sandwich for lunch today. WHY? curs-ed be the gods. i don’t like tuna. i just don’t really enjoy it. smells bad, tastes worse. (unless ryan makes it, but she adds so much stuff its mostly not tuna but other stuff i like, and hides the tuna-taste.) Loading… Hide notes
wine-o
on friday i went to cafe stella in silverlake with melissa and mike. this restaurant is my favorite maybe…ever. i ate a pork chop and we drank some crazy good wine thanks to mikeys expertise. (also - mel and i sat on one side and mikey sat on the other facing us, right in the middle, not on one side or the other. it was funny. and also we got in a really loud conversation about...
